How do you customize your invoice template?
In the next major release of Billable I’m revamping the template engine and hope to package some more design choices as well as common options to eliminate the need of editing custom HTML for the most common edits.
What I’d like to know is, are you using a custom invoice template and if so why. Furthermore, if you have any other feedback about the invoice html generation please let me know. Thanks!

Common changes I’ve made to templates on a per invoice basis are:
Information for direct wire transfer Information on previous unpaid invoices Turning on and off item comments.
That kind of thing.
I’m using a custom template as I needed to add tax reference information as well as payment information. I’ve added BAC’s information and cheque details. I’ve also spaced out the services table a little more so I can get lots of services into one invoice without it running into another page.
I didn’t like the font either, so I changed that :)

I am using a custom template simply because I am from germany and need german headings. Also, I find it important to have some sort of corporate identity; that also extends to font and spacing choices. It works out really well except for the “paid” stamp, that should be customizable as well (I changed the image in the program bundle, but that is probably not the most elegant solution).
That said, keep on the great work, I keep on using your program with great pleasure.
