Big Nerd Ranch Burns
The results of the investigation of the fire have arrived: It seems that someone stole our equipment (Less than $15,000 worth) and then set fire to the building (More than $2,000,000 worth) to cover up the burglary. The culprit has not been caught.
The lodge is part of Historic Banning Mills. Our hearts go out to the owners, Mike and Donna.
Wow. That really sucks. My thoughts go out to Aaron and the rest of the guys down there. While I’ve never been to the Ranch I have loved Aaron’s books and seeing him speak at C4. I did once get about 8 hours of mini-Ranch training during MacHack a few years back from Chris Campbell. He was really nice too. He even helped me get Mega Man Effect working that weekend.
Anyways I hope things get back to normal soon. FYI, classes are still running in an alternate location.
